Held at the Japanese Primary School in Changi, Singapore. There were a lot of people queuing up at the venue well before the event began. And even before i joined the queue for the rental of the yukata, they told us that it was sold out.
Entrance fee: $2

I rather enjoyed the campus with its large field and quaint buildings, it took me away from where i thought i was. The crowd and heat did get a little overwhelming as time passed though. Queue’s were practically everywhere; to enter, to get food, to play games, to use the restroom. It made me feel a tad dizzy.

But the spirit was so vibrant. Everyone was into the mood of celebrating the summer, determined not to let the heat get to them. People dressed up in traditional Japanese costumes, ate Japanese food, watched Japanese performances. It was all good fun.

2 months late, but Happy Birthday Reeddiss. Bungee was crazy, i’d still never step into one. Would you do it again though?

When i was younger, my father used to call these structures “giraffes”. Even from afar, the port still calls out and leaves me mesmerized.

Went for Day 1 of Baybeats 2011 at the Esplanade with H, one of the bands nearly gave us a heart attack, but it was all in good fun.
There was a band called “Caracal” that did sound pretty good though. And that combined with the lively, upbeat atmosphere was really nice.
